Nourishing is a short poetry comic exploring my experiences as a child of an immigrant of the Asian diaspora and generational trauma. It was done digitally in Procreate with an iPad and Apple Pencil.
Impacted is a four page biographical mini-comic based on my experiences dealing with my cousin’s passing, as part of a larger comic anthology on death published by Dirty Diamonds. It was done digitally in Procreate with an iPad and Apple Pencil.
Froglet is a comic based on a freeform poem I wrote on my 20th birthday. The word ‘“froglet” is used to describe the stage of maturity between tadpole and frog, where the body is frog-like, but still bares a tail leftover from its previous stage. Likewise, Froglet focuses on that uncomfortable stage of growth between the end of childhood and beginning adulthood. I also turned into a mini zine and sold copies at various conventions. It was done traditionally in alcohol based markers and pen.
